You must be at least 18 and have a high school diploma or GED to enroll in a CNA program in Oklahoma. Once you are accepted, you will need to submit a cleared background check, two fingerprint cards, a photo ID, and proof of immunization; also, a negative TB skin test within the past six months is required. You must complete a minimum of 75 hours of course work in a program accredited by the State Department of Health. After you graduate you may sit for the Oklahoma State Certification Examination for Long-term Care and Home Health Nurse Aide. Current cost for taking the exam is $90.00. If you pass the exam you will receive a certification card and you will be listed in the Oklahoma State Nurse Aide Registry.
