CNA Certification in San DiegoIn order to attain the appropriate certifications in San Diego, you begin by completing the state's mandatory coursework requirements. The requirements are 150 hours total, with 50 being in the classroom and 100 being at a physical location where you will receive hands-on clinical experiences. After completing the mandatory coursework, you move forward by taking the state licensing examination. Once you've passed it, you will be added to the California Nurse Aide Registry. (Note that California certifications must be renewed every two years.)
