Certified Nursing Assistants working in Indianapolis typically work in retirement and nursing homes, though they may also have the option of working in other residential treatment facilities. They provide help and support for patients who cannot care for themselves. Their daily duties might include taking vital signs, helping patients bath and transporting patients to appointments with their doctors. Before working anywhere in the state, a CNA must have a license from the state, which the state only awards to those who complete a satisfactory training program and are on the state registry.
